1.    Will I go orange?

The quintessential question about a spray tan – we get our own spray tan, so when you come into the store and see our staff – you will know! Other spray tans on the market have unnecessary ingredients that contribute to the orange look, our spray tans are simply water and sugar – a Bronze Baxx Airbrush tan is just that – BRONZE!

2.    How far in advance should I book?

When booking your spray tan – keep in mind what it is for. If the event is on a Saturday, please try and book no later than Thursday. The tan needs 8 hours to set and also a shower – so please try to book accordingly to your purpose.

3.    What do I wear?

During the process, we suggest that if you would like tan lines, be mindful of the under garments you wear. Our technicians are very professional, and we want you to be happy. If no tan lines are your wish, then we are certainly accommodating to that.
4.    How does it work?
The spray tanning reaction is similar to how an apple goes brown when you take a bite from it and leave it. The sugar and amino acids in the apple react with oxygen in the air and turn it brown. The solution we spray contains an active sugar based ingredient called DHA – combine with this the amino acids on the skin and the oxygen in the air, the skin turns a gorgeous golden (lasting) brown. Spray tanning only affects the top layer of your skin, hence lasting 7 -10 days, your lifestyle and lack of maintenance may reduce this.
5.    Does everyone go the same color?
We offer 8 levels of color – and we can customize anywhere in between. Basically, our products come in lightest, light, medium and dark (for both olive and red undertones) – but it’s not that simple on our end. We take at look at your skin tone and consult with you what you are getting spray tanned for and adjust accordingly. We also take into account the time of year you will be showing your new spray tan off! We record your spray tans, and the levels you’ve gone in the past to ensure that you are more than satisfied every time.
6.    How long does the process take?
An airbrush tan takes about 15 minutes to apply.    Please keep in mind our recommendation for the “Baxx to Baxx” where our guests slip from the airbrush tan and into our Stand-up Tanning unit to set the tan. We swear by this process as the UV light really brings out the natural color of your tan!  This process can add up to an additional 10 minutes onto your session.
7.    Can pregnant women get a spray tan?
Technically, spray tanning has never been tested on pregnant women. We have had many doctors allow our clients to use our spray tan once they’ve seen the ingredients (with 66% less ingredients than any other spray on tan!).
8.    How often can I go?
We know our tan lasts at least a week, and we have many clients who like to book just like that! Keep the bronze glow all year round with a spray tan if you need to stay away from the UV rays. Our spray tan is sold in affordable packages as well to thank our loyal clients!
9.    How can I make my spray tan last?
Healthy skin always retains a tan the best. Regularly moisturize with a   Bronze Baxx recommended lotion leading up to and following your tan is definitely best. Also, anything that will dry your skin, once you have your tan such as super hot water, hot tubs, salt water, pools etc. can have a drying effect on your skin and make your tan fade faster. Another tip we offer is to avoid rubbing your skin with your towel, and please pat dry after showing with your spray tan.
10.    I WANT ONE!  When can you get me in?
We are very accommodating, and want to give you the appointment you need – so please call in advance. A minimum of a day before your requested booking is recommended.
